Oral health and preventive care
How to care for your oral health
A good oral health routine is essential for keeping your teeth and gums healthy. Removing food particles and bacteria can prevent cavities and gum disease from developing. Here are the three key steps:
Brushing your teeth
- Twice a day, ideally after every meal, for three minutes at a time. A rolled stroke is effective, easy to do and safe for your gums. Position your toothbrush at the gum line.
- Pivot the bristles toward the end of the tooth.
- Don’t apply pressure.
Flossing
- Gets food particles out from between your teeth.
- Keeps gums healthy.
- Should be done once a day, preferably at bedtime.
Professional cleaning and tartar removal
With attentive oral hygiene, smart eating habits and regular cleanings by a dental hygienist, you can keep your teeth and gums in great shape!
