Veneers
Dental veneers, an aesthetic solution
Veneers are very thin porcelain or composite resin shells that are glued to the visible surface of teeth. They are used to correct minor cosmetic flaws, such as small chips or variations in tooth colour and shape. They can also be applied to close a gap between teeth, or, in some cases, improve tooth alignment.
Veneers are easy and quick to install, and they offer excellent permanent results. They provide a unified look that is very similar to natural teeth.
Diastema closure
A diastema is a large space between two adjoining teeth. Since these gaps often occur between the two upper central incisors, people sometimes want to close them for cosmetic reasons. Veneers can be used to correct a diastema, as long as they do not cause chewing or alignment problems. An orthodontic treatment is often required for more problematic cases.
